Freeletics week 1/the days of pain
Hello, If you came here to read a success story then You might have to stay for a while and follow my progress to get it because this is the beginning of that story.
This week I jumped back right into it with great excitement and motivation.
I love to exercise outside and this week the weather was great so I could do my sessions at the nearby lake and our garden.
Day 1 was 100 mountain climbers which seemed to be an easy task first. After completing it I was breathing like a racing horse. This was a clear indication how much endurance and fitness I have lost in the past 9 months.
Needless to say, that night I was sleeping like a baby. Next day I could not stand up. Shaky legs and pain in my elbow. I have tennis elbow which makes every movement a bit complicated and I feel mild pain all the time but I don`t want to stop again.
(please if you have any problems , go and see your doctor )
Day 2 was 2/4 Thanatos with knee push ups, crunches, sprawls and hh standups. The standups broke me. It was very difficult and struggled a lot with it. I could not manage 1 accurately but at least there are plenty of rooms for improvement.
I had 1-day break to recover before I tackled day 3
Thanatos again 1/4 which went a little bit better. I have done it after 12 hours work but it was fairly quick to complete. Standups again cause problems but I will get there.
Today completed this week`s freeletics with 1/5 Ares. It is included:
- 7 pull ups
- 7 crunches
- 2x40m running
It was a joy to finish the week with this combo. Very quick and fairly easy so it made me motivated once again.
For a moment I felt like the application is reading my mind because I was hoping for an easier routine this time and I got it.
We are in France now and every Monday we have a great market filled with fresh products, including fruit and veg, cheese etc. Every day I try to compliment my Freeletics project with a healthier diet.
When I say diet I do not mean using some radical methods. I simply eat fresh food, homemade things, do not drink any juice or fizzy drinks only drink water (3 L min).
I can not say that I see big changes so far but I wasn`t expecting any just yet. The only thing I feel is muscles I have not feel and used for ages. Also, my mood is a bit better. It can be a result of high motivation, and my circulation is probably getting better too.
I saw somewhere (I will try to find it) an interactive tool where you can see age vs death causes, and how they relate. I was shocked when I saw that over 40 the circulation problems start to take over the leading cause of natural deaths.
I hope I make some improvements from now on and I will avoid this for a long time 🙂
